Alhamdulillah kami dah settle pasal CH E 464, so tinggal 4 ajer final exams. Bermula hari Isnin dan habis hari Khamis nanti, mudah-mudahan segalanya akan berjalan lancar.
Tadi masa presentation tu, alhamdulillah semuanya berjalan lancar. Aku pun tak teragak-agak sangat nak deliver aku punya points. Aku kena cover bab Technical Analysis of this styrene plant. Zeeshan covers Economic Analysis, Airon buat pasal Alternatives Studies, Saeed handle Safety Considerations and Charlie takes care of Geographical Studies. Semua group yang lain yang buat presentation ni kira terrer-terrer gak lah..and seperti biasa almost all of the result is just the same - build the styrene plant in Taiwan, next to the sister plant of Olefins Unit. Cuma ada satu ajer group yang memang total kepala otak gila, instead of buat proposal bina plant, this group buat proposal jangan bina langsung plant ni sebab rate of return tak up till 15% of capital cost. Hummm..memang buat semua orang dalam bilik tu either gelak or ternganga. Aku sah-sah la tergelak cam nak mampus, same gak ngan Jay and a few others colleagues. Unexpected outcome!
But anyway, everybody who gave speech tadik semuanyer nampak sharp and smart. Although aku rasa most of the things yang kitorang cakap kat depan tu, either kitorang sendiri tak baper tahu or kitorang memang totally bullshit semua orang. The first group agak naya la jugak sebab Prof. Nedwick sendirik tanya pasal the cost for feed chemical compounds. Serious shit diorang terbangak nak menjawap. Tu Jay punya group laa..habis dia nyer presentation, sebakul sumpah seranah dia bagik kat Nedwick..hahahaha..kesian..kesian.
I guess waktu Q & A tu, kalau bebudak dalam bilik tu tak bagi soalan, memang Nedwick akan tanya. And then kalau professor yang tanya, memang mati kutu and berasap ketiak la jugak nak menjawapnya kan. Even aku waktu tengah bagi presentation tu berpeluh dada..bukan berpeluh dahi..(jantung buat kerja lebih sket, tu pasal keluar peluh banyak kat dada kot!). I guess Jay made a favor to other groups by asking them instead of letting them taking loads of killer questions from Prof. Nedwick himself.
At the end of the presentation, Nedwick tanya kitorang, "What did we learn from this class?!". Sapa-sapa yang jawab soalan dia, dapat extra credit. Aku dengan cepatnya jawap,"Make sure you do extra work - go one mile extra!". Seriously, memang kena buat cenggitu, kalau tak camner nak jawap semua-semua sensitivities, issues or anything for technical documentation plus economic analysis. Even untuk study the price fluctuation of styrene or the projection market price of potential by-product, semua kena buat extra studies. Tu belum masuk lagi pasal technical...serius shit, cukuplah sekali aku amik CH E 464 nih. After this, no more of senior design!
Anyway..at the end of the day..semua orang happy. Project sudah habis, presentation sudah settle, now nak habiskan project Dynamic Control.
