Random Thoughts in my Mind (Something I had in mind while doing something)

I believe in four things in my life; hope, trust, persistence & determination

Hope can be miraculous sometimes. It also can be tormenting as well. To lead a life without hope is like to walk without aim. Everything looks dull and everything looks just the same. Never forget that Hope will be your most loyal companion when everything/everyone has deserted you and you only have yourself to carry the burden of journey. It drives your inner wants to the edge of insanity. It provides you the will power you need in order to plow the messy and ugly road in front of you. Truly I am a firm believer that in whatever we do, we should include hope eventhough we have no slightest idea of what the outcome will be due to our action.

Then, how about trust?

Well, trust is not something that you can give in overnight. There is an old saying says, “Rom is not built in one day”. True. It takes years if not decades to develop such rock-solid trust. The trust that I give to the people in my circle of trust is built after years of friendship. There were times when my trust was violated and was questioned but we managed to reconcile the issues between us in the name of friendship. It’s a two-way thing. You and me. Give-and-take. Exchanging the trust is not something easy but it’s doable. It’s doable if we give a chance to ourselves in believing someone.

Maybe I should be the one to initiate the move. A move which I am hoping can steer the relationship into a better direction for both of us.

So what is it about persistence and determination?

I shall say that both are the ingredients for a success (yeah..I know it sounds more like a cliché but it works though!). It is like building a structure - a huge and a beautiful one. Obviously it requires a solid foundation in order to withstand the harsh weather. I can imagine the civil engineers will then instruct construction workers to dig deeply into the ground in order to place the solid steel and concrete as to prepare for the unshakeable foundation. But how can we prepare the foundation of love and keeps it stand strong? Well, this is the place for persistence and determination to reside along with hope and trust.

I can’t tell you for sure how the building will look like at the end but I can assure you that it will always be adorned with sweet and bitter memories, honesty and sincerity, ups and downs, laughter and tears.

I don’t ask for this relationship to blossom quickly. I don’t ask that we should start right away and leave everything that we have now behind. No, it’s not the way it should be. It should go slow but steady. There were couples of time that we acted spontaneously without thinking the outcome of it. It’s ok. It’s ok to do mistake as long we salvage some lesson from the mistakes.

Let this friendship blossoms and we see where shall it take us. I am maybe just another man comes into your heart, knocking for your love. Don’t think too much of what will others say about you and me. We alone know what we are doing now. We are friends and as friends, we are allowed to miss each other, to care each other and even to love each other. To give some and to take some. But to question how far that this love can go, we just let the time decides and what does the heart tell us. From there, we go forward and never look back again.
