Things I Learnt For Being 5 Years in USA
I've been in the States for quite a long time compare to the rest. Yeah, I know it's kinda a shame for me, regretfully to say this, but I embraced every moment I went through here.
Meaningful Lessons
1. Always remember, Allah is there to help you through thick and thin.
2. Learning to miss my parents dearly.
3. Learning about Islam.
4. Friends are diamonds.
Things to Remember
1. Always smile to people. Say Hello or Hi to them if they greet you.
2. Lady's first!
3. Don't forget to say 'thank you' to the cashier, smile and look at their eyes as well.
4. When you say 'thank you', you really mean it.
5. Always greet the janitor and ask how is he/she doing today.
6. Don't forget to file your tax before April 15 (for US only). <--- I need to post the tax file by tomorrow!!!
7. When somebody shout "We Are", answer them, "Penn State!". Go Lions!
8. Always have a good conversation with the taxi driver.
9. Always give signal when you're trying to change the lane.
Interesting Things I Learnt Here
1. Ballroom Dance; Waltz, Foxtrot, Lindy/Swing, Polka, Salsa, Cha-cha.
2. Pennsylvania State Law in regard to Alcohol.
3. How to handle a situation when you got pulled over by State Trooper (ie, tipu umur and driving license info).
4. Malaysian Intelligence (Special Branch) is everywhere, or else, how the heck they knew exactly I was in Glasgow, Scotland between December 23 - December 25, 2002.
5. People here are afraid of 'Anti Semitic' label.
Things I'm Still Confused
1. Can somebody teach me how the American Football games works?
2. I still don't know how to file my US income tax.
3. US economy is expanding and yet there is no job available under Bush administration. Is Bush a moron?
4. Israel is not a terrorist state but Palestin is harboring terrorists.
