Hari Yang Sejuk

Today is extraordinarily cold albeit the sun is shining gloriously outside there. Hummm..pretty weird I suppose. Perhaps we're expecting another snowshower...or perhaps the global climate is just gone crazy!

Nothing much is going on today except that I need to do tonnes of homework. Firstly I need to settle my Polymer Science homework, which I am quite sure it will take hours to complete. Then I have to do the tank/storage sizing for my senior design plant, again it will take hours to do that. Plus I need to do some reading on my thermodynamic and chemical kinetic in industry. Whoaaaaaa..that's a lot for today!! My my my...

Last night I had a good time at Muslim Student Association & Hillel program. Well when I said Hillel, it means a Jewish student society on campus. Before you guys start to say anything, hold your horses first, ok? The reason why they coalesced in organizing this dinner is because it has come to a point that we need to unite for a good cause. Doesn't matter if we are actually segregated by our religion, tradition and culture, yet these differences should form a very enriching atmosphere, especially between students. Besides, Jewish culture and Islamic culture share many commonalities especially when it comes to religion. We even share the same prophet Abraham (father of three main religions in the world; Islam, Christian and Judaism)!

It was the first time for me to see jews and muslims to sit together on the carpeted floor in our musolla at Pasquerilla Religious Center and ate together. We exchanged stories about our rich cultures and past personal experiences among ourselves. Well, I didn't get much chance to talk with any of the Jewish because I was so busy chatting with other Muslim friends. My bad...my bad!

By the way, Mariam Attawiya asked me of when the Malaysian Student Association (MASA) will have its Malaysian Nite. Wow..I never have thought that people actually are waiting for this nite. So I told her that we will hold the event sometimes in Fall semester, not this semester. She seemed quite frustrated because she's graduating this semester. Awww..I guess MSA will lose one of its pretty roses then..kekekekke...She said she is always wanted to taste Malaysian food and watched our cultural/traditional performance. Too bad m'lady, it ain't gonna happen this semester.

Anyway, everything was was fun. All of my CH E senior design members showed up that night; Airon (chinese indonesian), Zeeshan (pakistani), Charlie (American, Pennsylvania resident) and Saeed (united arab emirates).

The time at the dinner was well-spent. We had good food, good time with friends of MSA and Hillel and making new friends.
